What is Included in Our Lawn Fertilization Program?
We offer a comprehensive lawn fertilization program to keep your turf in top condition. Not only is it all-encompassing, but it is also tailored to the specific type of grass you have on your property. Some properties in northern Georgia have warm-season turf such as bermuda grass or zoysia grass, while other properties in the area have a type of cool-season grass called fescue.
Although the type and timing of our treatments will differ depending on your turf, our lawn fertilization program includes many of the same services regardless of your grass variety. When you sign up for our program, you will receive applications of liquid fertilizer, granular fertilizer, pre-emergent weed control, post-emergent weed control, and lime. All of these applications will help your grass become stronger, healthier, and greener.
Fertilization Schedule
- Round 1: Pre-Emergent and Post Emergent weed control application on all grass types. This application will help prevent late spring, summer, and fall weeds. This application will also kill any existing weeds.
- Round 2: Pre-Emergent and Post Emergent weed control application on all grass types. This application will help prevent late spring, summer, and fall weeds. This application will also kill any existing weeds. **We also apply a granular fertilizer to all fescue lawns.
- Round 3: Liquid 46-0-0 Fertilizer, chelated iron and post emergent weed control on Bermuda and Zoysia lawns. This application will help encourage green up and kill any existing weeds in your lawn. For Fescue lawns we apply a granular fertilizer, post emergent weed control and chelated iron. For Centipede/St Augustine we apply a granular fertilizer and post emergent weed control.
- Round 4: Granular 32-5-7 to all Bermuda and Zoysia turf areas. This is a well-balanced fertilizer that is high in nitrogen and it will encourage healthy root growth and color. Spot treat post-emergent weed control to any existing weeds in all turf areas. Spot treat post-emergent weed control to fescue lawns. For Centipede/St Augustine we apply a granular fertilizer and post emergent weed control.
- Round 5: 25-3-12 granular fertilizer to Bermuda and Zoysia lawns. We also spot treat post emergent weed control to Bermuda, Zoysia, Fescue lawns. This application is to encourage new growth and kill any existing weeds in the lawn.
- Round 6: Lime on Bermuda, Zoysia, and Fescue lawns. This application will help regulate and maintain a proper pH balance in the soil. We also spot treat post-emergent weed control to any existing weeds in all turf areas.
- Round 7: Specticle Flo to Bermuda, Zoysia, Centipede and St. Augustine lawns . This pre-emergent will prevent winter and early spring weeds. We also apply a post emergent weed control. Fescue lawns-We apply a 18-24-12 granular fertilizer to to encourage new root growth.
- Round 8: Lime application to Bermuda, Zoysia and Fescue lawns. This application will help regulate and maintain a proper pH balance in the soil.
